Mission San Antonio de Padua is an ideal Archeological site.
Pictured here is the old grist Mill on the Mission grounds - one of many examples of the original structures still visible today.
Due to the lack of modern development, this Mission still exists in its original pristine setting, located in the San Antonio Valley of the Oaks, snuggled against the foothills of the Santa Lucia mountain range.
Unwilling to simply exist silently, we at Mission San Antonio de Padua are working hard to combine state-of-the-art technology and forensic K-9 sciences to create archeological protocol that is comprehensive and sensitive to the concerns of the native Salinan Tribal Members.
