Retreat Center

“As a retreat center, Mission San Antonio de Padua is unrivaled in Central California for its peaceful, secluded location, connection to nature and comfortable facilities.”

Group Retreat Programs and Private Retreats
Mission San Antonio de Padua’s retreat center is also available for groups who have their own program and speakers. We can accommodate up to 65 people. For more information, contact our Retreat Coordinator, at 831-385-4478, extension 10.

Individual Retreats
Individuals interested in private, self-guided retreats should also contact our Retreat Coordinator for more information and availability at 831-385-4478.

Accommodations and Facilities
Thirty simple yet comfortable double-occupancy rooms within the mission’s restored cloister offer guests contemplative private space in keeping with the Mission’s monastic heritage. Amenities include cozy beds and a sink for morning and evening ablutions. Fresh linens, bath towels and accessories are also provided. Shower and bathroom facilities exist on each cloister wing for your convenience.

A large and comfortable conference room is at your disposal, complete with tables, chairs, easels, whiteboard and multi-media equipment for presentations.  Several smaller conference rooms are also available.

The Mission’s beautifully restored garden is the perfect spot for informal presentations or meditation, as are the natural areas that surround the mission and its Fiesta grounds.

Meals
The Mission no longer offers catering service, therefore, both individual and group retreat guests are responsible for providing their own meals. Groups are encouraged to bring their own chef with them.

Private guests are encouraged to bring their own pre-prepared meals, as individuals are given access to a refrigerator, microwave and hot water for instant coffee, tea, oatmeal, soup, etc. but with their “individual” status, are not afforded access to cook in the kitchen.

Personal Communications
Please note that your retreat time at Mission San Antonio is meant to be one of relaxation, rest and contemplation. For this reason, there are no telephones, televisions or internet connections in our guest quarters. Due to the mission’s remote location, cell phone service can be limited. There is a phone available to guests for emergencies, as well as to receive incoming messages.
